 DISCIPLINE POLICY
  1.  Lexington School District Two has district-wide middle and high school discipline policies, which are mandated.
  2. The purpose of these policies is to ensure that all students receive fair and consistent discipline when school rules and/or state laws are violated.
  3. The Board believes that school safety is of paramount importance. Therefore, they support a ZERO TOLERANCE discipline approach aimed at creating schools that are free from the problems of dangerous weapons and drugs. ZERO TOLERANCE specifically carries an immediate recommendation of expulsion for any student who knowingly and willingly possesses or transfers weapons and/or drugs at school or at any school-sponsored event.
  4. Parent contact will be attempted prior to disciplinary action when possible. However, time and demands of the day or a particular situation may not always allow contact before the student is disciplined. In any case, parents will receive notice in the mail and students will always have a copy to take home on the same day of the offense.
