Welcome to the Principal's Porch! What a great turnout Nov. 7th at Busbee's "Fall into the Arts" Festival. Our heartfelt thanks goes to the parents, students, faculty and staff who attended and especially to those who volunteered. To Busbee's PTSO, we truly appreciate all the hard work you put into planning and organizing the day's events. We all look forward to the next one!

We are very excited to be a benefiary of Lexington School District Two's E2T2 grant. The district is working with Apple Corporation to purchase an ITouch for every student at Busbee. Teachers will also receive a Mac book. Our goal is to use this technology to improve testing scores as well as use it as another arts medium.

Congratulations to Chris Mathews, Busbee's drama teacher, and his team for winning a $1,000 Bright Ideas grant from Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative. The grant will be used in February 2010 to bring in Hobey Ford, a puppetry artist, currently participating in The Kennedy Center's Visiting Artists program.
